Online Therapy & Counseling for Montana residents

Many therapists and psychiatrists in my community (including myself, as of 3/18/20) are rapidly shifting to providing sessions via teleconferencing for the indefinite future due to coronavirus concerns.

A Word About Coronavirus

As we each manage the evolving COVID-19 protection guidelines, we hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. This is an important time to prioritize self-care as well as to embrace responsibility for how each of our actions impact others.

Although we need to heed the directives for “social distancing,” we should consider the intention of this message is actually a call for “physical distancing” while maintaining “social connection. It is important to find creative ways to overcome isolation: actively reaching out to others by phone, e-mail, zoom or skype, social media; accessing internet sites that are providing virtual participation in music, the arts, museums; using your creativity to find new ways to stay in contact.

Let’s all find ways to use the strength of community to use our relationships and our networks to stay socially engaged while respecting the wisdom of physical distance during a time like this.

As a licensed counselor in the state of Montana, I am able to offer therapy and counseling services to clients who live in remote parts of Montana who might not otherwise have access to quality mental health care and services. Online counseling differs from conventional in-person therapy in that sessions are conducted remotely. Your therapy session will occur via a face-to-face video meeting, using my HIPPA compliant platform. This is an online platform used by physicians, psychiatrists, online therapists, online psychologists all over the world.

Just as in an office session, online counseling can help you identify stress triggers, better understand and manage difficult thoughts and emotions, work through loss and grief, gain support through a crisis and get help with relationship issues. In a confidential, comfortable setting, you can openly and honestly share your concerns and develop the skills needed to help you with the problems that led you to counseling. Please send me an EMAIL to learn more about how we can work together to improve your life circumstances or emotional health and well-being.
